New MSC Terminal at PortMiami: A Game-Changer in the Cruise Industry
The Port of Miami has witnessed the completion of several giant cruise terminals in recent years, but none is larger than the new MSC Terminal, which is now nearing completion.
MSC‘s facilities at the Port of Miami, valued at $450 million, will be the largest cruise terminal in the world when it opens later this year.
It will have the capacity to accommodate 36,000 guests each day, with 3 cruise berths. A parking garage with a capacity for 2,400 cars is also being built.
Ground power supply is being incorporated into the new facilities, which will help reduce pollution in the area.
MSC is heavily investing in Miami, with the announcement of a new $100 million headquarters in Overtown.
The company has already announced a naming ceremony for its new flagship, the MSC World America, which will take place on April 9, 2025, at the new Port of Miami facilities.
Arquitectonica is the architectural firm responsible for the design of the terminal.
